Four Corners Festival
with Boys with Wrinkles
Angelo M. will join Shawn Gallagher, Gere Groft, and
Andy Miller on May 21 as
Boys With Wrinkles takes the stage at Millersville University's
Four Corners Festival.
This all acoustic ensemble blends American Roots and Celtic styles as they cover
material from a variety genres including rock, folk, Irish and blues resulting
in a unique high-energy blues-grass sound.
Individually this group of musicians is
extremely talented; collectively the chemistry creates a phenomena. You can hear them Saturday,
May 21 starting at
1:30 pm outside McComsey Hall on the Millersville University Campus,
Lancaster, PA
Here's what goes into the mix: Angelo M. in addition to his signature guitar licks, contributes Dobro, mandolin,
harp and bluesy vocals; Shawn Gallagher alternates between adding the bass line and another guitar, while
lending the perfect-fix voice for this blend of musical styles generating both leads and harmonies;
Andy Miller adds a third vocal with his deep, rich and distinctive voice along with noteworthy high-speed flat pickin'
on the guitar and
Gere Groft fills out the sound with an array of rhythmic percussion.
The festival is a 3 day event with International Art, Theater, Music, and Dance
devoted to expanding family and children's education via workshops, hand-on-activities, concerts and dances
taking place on the Millersviller University Campus in Lancaster, PA.
May 19 -21.
On Thursday and Friday the majority of the festival is devoted to Elementary & Early
Childhood Students and Secondary Education Students though there will be evening
concerts and dances on both days open to the community at large. On Saturday
(the day Boys With Wrinkles are playing) all hours
of the festival are open to the general public-all ages, so come on out and have a great time!

Angelo M.'s CD,
Far From Home
Gets European Airplay
& Great Feedback;
plus, April 22 Concert
Series Performance
Currently, Angelo M.'s debut CD, Far From Home
is playing on several FM stations in Europe
and showing up on playlist for stations
in Denmark, Belgium and Poland.
In each instance Angelo was contacted by DJ's from
the radio stations asking for a copy of the CD to
play on the air.
In addition to airplay Far From Home is getting some great feedback
from Europe:
A review from Poland's Blues & Gospel Radio Host- Przemek Draheim on CD Baby
gives the album a **** Star Rating - GREAT!
"Very good guitar playing, beautiful voice
and great songs!
I really enjoy listening to this CD. My favorite cut is "Thirty Years".
Well, he's got a hit in this one.
I am sure that my listeners will love that song.
It has great radio appeal!"
And Belgium DJ, Franken Braerken in a RootsTime Review describes Far From Home: "In
the style of Chris Smither, Ry Cooder, Terry Garland, and Ray Bonneville,
but with its own accents
Angelo M. delivers 9 original songs
of excellent quality."
Braerken calls Angelo M. a "Brilliant Guitarist"
and notes an "Excellent Voice", and in reference to the third track on the CD Braerken says "Lost,
produces goose bumps with a brilliant slide and acoustic guitar; this song
all alone justifies the purchase of the album."
(full review on the music page)
Thanks to the airplay, reviews, and CD Baby, Angelo M. has picked up
fans and sold CDs in Europe eventhough he has yet to play or directly promote his album there (though he hopes to do both in the future)!
